During this hot summer’s Tokyo Olympics, a global festival was held and a few Korean athletes ranked fourth in the competition. Fourth place is an unsatisfying position because it is remembered as no success by just a neck. However, they maintained a smile on their faces and I didn’t expect it. One of the Korean athletes, Woo Sang-Hyuk who broke the Korean record ranked fourth being 2cm close to the third. But he said that he challenged his limits so he had no regrets. He left a comment like this at the end:
“I have gone through a lot of success and failure. There is no limit if you take on a challenge positively.”
Everyone has anxiety or worries while they challenge to reach their goal, but they should not be dominated by emotions. Therefore, I think ‘positivity’ is a necessary virtue. This helps you enjoy the big stage and not dwell on the result. You should find your own strength of positivity, and look forward to your future life in which you will take on new challenges instead of regretting the past!
