Gachon University is one of the best universities in the country with different schools like the school of education, school of law, school of engineering, school of art and music, and the school of medical and traditional medicine. The university offers scholarships to students that make it possible for them to reach their full potential through acquiring an education. Many students are also given job opportunities within the university’s administration as assistants and through internship programs that prepare students for the working environment in South Korea and other parts of the world.
Often times, people are confronted with new changes, like moving to another country, a new city, new culture, and thinking about the do's and don’ts upon arrival. The challenges start to be visible; not like in how you perceive them but as time goes by, a drive to embrace everything that gives you confidence to look at the bright side of things. The biggest challenge in university life will be defining the most effective and suitable direction for your life. So life at Gachon University is very welcoming, with friendly staff willing to help out anytime. The students are also willing to help although most of the students are shy, although most of them are capable and are probably good at English. Some tend to run away when faced with an English speaking person, scared and worried about what to do in that situation.
Furthermore, there is a ‘technology syndrome’, which drives students to their tech device and creating an anti-social environment. They have become prisoners to technology when they spend most of their time engaged by social media platforms like Facebook, Kakao talk, twitter and Instagram. However, such devices are also very helpful with different functions like Microsoft word and power point - but these are rarely utilized.
