Hello, I served as the official ambassador for Gachon University from May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023. I wanted to do activities that I could only do when I was in college. So while looking at the school announcements, I found that there was a day left to apply for a public relations ambassador. As soon as I checked the notice, I submitted the application form because I had a dream of becoming an ambassador. I made a portfolio to show my ability to get accepted as an ambassador, uploaded a video to a personal YouTube channel that I haven't uploaded for a while, and prepared myself as if I memorized the introduction. As a result of preparing for the first and second interviews with the mindset of preparing for what to do properly, both interviews came out with confidence without regret. I guess interviewers recognized my efforts, and they called me with the good news that I passed. I was motivated and excited when I heard the news of my acceptance.
Let me explain what the ambassador of Gachon University does. We plan, film, edit videos to be uploaded to our official YouTube channel, produce card news and Rills on our official Instagram, manage blogs, conduct campus tours, guide at the occasional and regular fairs and help with the award ceremony. After conducting interviews and speaking in front of cameras, I learned how to present confidently without shaking when giving a presentation in a university lecture. In addition, by editing various videos and producing promotional materials, my skills in handling design and editing tools have improved. I wanted to produce better results, so I taught myself on YouTube, and I got two design certificates (PhotoShop & Illustration Grade 1). I was able to know what kind of work I like and do well by doing various roles as an ambassador. At first, I started because I liked the title of ambassador. However, I learned a lot while spending a year with my colleagues as ambassadors. A person with various personalities from various departments met with the title of a public relations ambassador. It was a year when I learned a lot from my motivations for leading and initiative in life. It was good to learn how to coordinate opinions in consideration of each other's mood in dividing the work, and to think about how to shine Gachon University together. And when the results we worked together to produce were well-received, I felt a sense of accomplishment, and I was proud to see the ability to grow and the number of contents accumulating over time. And it was meaningful to have an opportunity to promote my school.
The most memorable activity in 2022 is definitely "Gachon University Ambassador." There's a big difference between before and after being an ambassador. Even if I go back to a year ago, I will apply for an ambassador again. What I learned from the ambassador is the mindset that 'this is the time to experience anything, so challenge yourself when you have to think about it.' Any experience will be an opportunity to learn new things and grow up once again. I hope everyone tries their lives recklessly. And Gachon University's ambassador is investing a lot of time and thinking to promote the school, so I hope you show a lot of interest and support.
