Tired of studying, I went on a trip to Jeju Island with two of my classmates. The start wasn't good. I lost my earphones on the plane , and it rained as soon as I arrived in Jeju Island. It was past 10 o'clock when we arrived at the hotel. I fell asleep early because I had a schedule the next day. As soon as I woke up, I ate black pork, a specialty of Jeju Island. As heard, the meat was really soft and melted in the mouth. It was the most delicious pork I've ever had. Next, I went to Olleh Market. There were so many things selling in the market including food, souvenirs, etc. When I saw the busy merchants, I suddenly thought about it. "These people are busy until late for their lives, but am I living like that?" Looking at them, I looked back on my usual life. I was always complacent with the reality I was given, and even in that situation, I used to complain to the people around me. On the other hand, it warmed my heart to see them just silently working hard in their positions despite the heat and the danger of the virus. By the time we arrived at the dorm, it was already our last night in Jeju Island.. It was a meaningful day to reflect on myself. The next day, I unpacked my luggage and went to the arboretum. There was a quiet walkway inside the arboretum, so I walked. There were many kinds of flowers on the trail, and hydrangea was the most memorable among them. The shape of hydrangea, which was in full bloom with flowers of various colors such as red, blue, and white, was dazzling. The owner of the botanical garden next door told me that hydrangeas change color depending on the composition of the soil. Perhaps because of such a nature, the flower language of hydrangeas is said to be capricious, change of heart, and cold-hearted. It was interesting in that the meaning of the flower language was not good unlike the appearance of flowers. After taking a walk on the flower path, I went to the airport and took a plane to home, and my trip to Jeju Island was over. Traveling makes me reflect on myself. It also teaches the importance of time. The experience of planning the schedule and time made me realize the finiteness and continuity of time. I just want to go on to a wider stage as soon as this pandemic is over.

It was past 10 o'clock at night when we got to the hotel. I fell asleep early because I had a busy schedule the next day. As soon as I woke up, I ate black pork, a specialty of Jeju Island. Just as I had heard, the meat was really tender and melted in the mouth. It was the most delicious pork I'd ever had. Next, I went to Olleh Market. There were so many things for sale in the market including food, souvenirs, and more. When I saw the busy merchants, I suddenly thought, "These people are working hard to make a living, but what am I doing?" Looking at them, I reflected on my life and what I do usually. Id always felt complacent about the reality I was in, and even then, I used to complain about it to the people around me. On the other hand, it warmed my heart to see them just quietly working hard in their positions despite the heat and the danger of the virus. The owner of the botanical garden next door told me that hydrangeas change color depending on the composition of the soil. Perhaps because of this, hydrangeas are said to be capricious, mercurial, and cold-hearted. It was interesting that such a beautiful flower could symbolize so many negative characteristics. After taking a walk on the flower path, I went to the airport and took a plane home, and my trip to Jeju Island was over. Traveling makes me reflect on myself. It also teaches the importance of time. The experience of planning a schedule and time made me realize the finiteness and continuity of time. I just want to go on to a wider stage and journey further afield as soon as this pandemic is over.
